Malé International Airport is the main airport for the Maldives, located on Hulhule Island in the North Malé Atoll. The airport comprises a single asphalt runway along with an international terminal, domestic and a water dome, Seaplane Terminal. There are 42 international counters, 3 security check booths at arrival, 11 immigration counters – 7 at arrival and 4 at departure. The airport can handle 1400 passengers (600 at arrival and 800 at departure).
