To obtain the Mauritius visa, travellers must show a valid passport with at least six months of validity left, a return or onward ticket, proof of accommodation (such as a hotel booking or invitation letter), and evidence of enough funds (like bank statements). When they arrive at Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam International Airport, they should fill out a visa application form and give the necessary documents to the immigration officer.

Alternatively, Indian citizens can apply for a pre-approved visa, which is helpful for business travellers or those planning to stay longer. The required documents include a valid passport, recent passport-sized photos, a completed visa application form, a cover letter explaining the visit's purpose, proof of flight bookings, accommodation details, and financial proof.

Additional documents may be necessary based on the purpose of the visit. Applications and the applicable visa fee should be submitted to the nearest Mauritian embassy or consulate. Applying well in advance is advisable, as processing times can vary.

Travellers should ensure their passports are valid for at least six months beyond their intended stay and consider travel insurance for a smoother journey. They should also check the Mauritian embassy or consulate's website for the latest updates.
