Like the melodic symphonies that make you feel mellow, Salzburg too brims with such radiating beauty that it is hard not to love this city in Austria. It is, after all, the birthplace of the famous music composer Mozart and where he refined his greatest works. Your trip may soon turn into a musical memoir, with sights so attractive you’d probably stop for a moment to soak in the beauty of the Eastern Alps and well-preserved historical architecture. But there’s more to Salzburg than just its natural beauty. Divided into two by the River Salzach, it is home to one of the most charming old towns, also known as the Altstadt, a stunning fortress, and streets with hairpin turns and alleyways.

The easy way to get around the city is by taking the bus and trolleybus networks, particularly if you are exploring the southern part of the city to sites like Schloss Hellbrunn or Salzburg Zoo. However, if you want to feel like a local, rent a bicycle and tour the city at ease. There are bike lanes throughout Salzburg, making it a fun way to see the city. Plus, you are doing something good for the environment by riding the eco-friendly mode.
