As we resume operations, considering the COVID-19 situation, different state governments have laid out their respective protocols for passengers arriving at their airports. Before you travel, make sure to read and understand the complete guidelines of the city/state you are travelling to and comply with the same so as to ease your travel plans.   • Arogya Setu App must be downloaded and activated in passengers phone
  • web-check-in is mandatory
  • Passengers shall wear a mask at all time during the journey

  • only asymptomatic passengers shall be allowed to travel

Arrival State Guidelines

    • Andaman and Nicobar Islands
    • Port Blair

    In Andaman & Nicobar, IndiGo flies to Port Blair.

    Health Screening:

    1. All passengers who are unvaccinated or partially vaccinated travelling to Port Blair shall have to mandatorily carry RT-PCR negative test report issued from a ICMR approved lab, subject to condition that RT-PCR test should have been taken within 48 hours before commencing their journey.

    Quarantine:

    1. No Quarantine

    Passenger Obligation:

    1. All passengers above 12 years of age intending to travel from mainland, both unvaccinated and partially vaccinated will have to undergo RT PCR within 48hrs before commencing their journey to Andaman & Nicobar Island. They will also be tested at the point of entry.
    2. All asymptomatic children below 12 years of age are exempted from RT PCR test to travel to Andaman & Nicobar Island
    3. All asymptomatic passengers undertaking journey to inter island sectors are exempted from any type of COVID 19 testing irrespective of their vaccination status
    4. All symptomatic passengers travelling from mainland or travelling inter island sectors must undergo RT PCR testing within 48hrs of commencement of journey irrespective of their age group and vaccination status  

    Airlines Obligation:

    1. Airline shall make onboard announcement for proper disposal of PPEs in Bio-Hazard bins before leaving the airport terminal
    2. Ensure passengers are not boarded from origin station on flights until they are in possession of a RTPCR negative certificate or Final vaccination certificate as mentioned in the health screening section

    Exemption from Quarantine and on Arrival Tests

    Residents of North Eastern States other them Assam who are arriving in any airport in Assam from outside the state and are directly travelling onwards to any other Norther Eastern States shall be exempted from on arrival testing provided they are able to produce proof of address in the North Eastern States and are asymptomatic

    All Transit passengers of Intra Assam and Inter North Eastern States shall be exempted from on arrival testing provided they are able to produce proof of address in the North Eastern States and are asymptomatic

    Government officials and those travelling due to medical reasons and family bereavement shall exempted from mandatory quarantine

    Random RAT test will be free of cost at arrivals for passengers from other sectors.

    Gaya

    All passengers arriving to the city of Gaya are mandatorily required to be in possession of RT-PCR negative report of not older than 72Hours from an ICMR accredited lab or COVID vaccination Final Certificate (two doses complete). Passengers not in possession of RT-PCR negative report or Final Vaccination Certificate shall be required to undergo RAT test upon arrival free of cost.

    Darbhanga

    It is mandatory for passengers travelling from the cities of Mumbai and Chennai to carry RT-PCR negative report from an ICMR accredited lab done within last 72hrs. RT-PCR timeline starts from the swab collection time. Customers not in possession of negative RT PCR certificate shall be denied boarded at the origin station

    For Gaya - All passengers arriving to the city of Gaya are mandatorily required to be in possession of RT-PCR negative report of not older than 72Hours from an ICMR accredited lab or COVID vaccination Final Certificate (two doses complete). Passengers not in possession of RT-PCR negative report or Final Vaccination Certificate shall be required to undergo RAT test upon arrival free of cost

    For Darbhanga - Mandatory for passengers travelling from the cities of Mumbai and Chennai to carry RT-PCR negative report from an ICMR accredited lab done within last 72hrs. RT-PCR timeline starts from the swab collection time.

    • Chandigarh

    Health Screening:

    Thermal screening will be done for all passengers

    Passengers travelling to Chandigarh are mandatorily required to be in possession of RT-PCR negative report of not older than 72Hours from an ICMR accredited lab or a COVID vaccination Final Certificate (two doses complete). RT-PCR timeline starts from the swab collection time

    The above is not applicable to infants and children below the age of 10 years

    Ensure while travelling to Chandigarh are in possession of RT-PCR negative certificate of not older than 72Hours or final vaccination certificate (two doses complete)

    • Chhattisgarh
    • Raipur

    In Chhattisgarh, IndiGo flies to Raipur.

    Health Screening:

    Thermal screening will be conducted for all passengers

    All passengers travelling to Chhattisgarh are advised to be in possession of RT-PCR negative report not earlier than 72Hours. RT-PCR timeline starts from the swab collection time

    Passengers not in possession of RT-PCR negative report shall be required to undergo test upon arrival at their own cost. Cost of test on arrival shall be INR 380 per test

    Fully vaccinated passengers i.e., those who have received both doses are exempted from pre-departure and post arrival RT PCR testing

    Children below the age of 12 years shall be exempted from pre-departure RT-PCR and on arrival test

    Quarantine:

    Passengers undergoing test upon arrival shall be required to remain in home quarantine till the test result is declared

    Passenger Obligation:

    Passengers are required to be in possession of RT-PCR negative certificate of not older than 72Hours else undergo testing on arrival at their own cost. Cost of test on arrival shall be INR 380 per test

    Fully vaccinated passengers i.e., those who have received both doses are exempted from pre-departure and post arrival RT PCR testing

    Passengers will be subjected to Covid sample check on arrival at Raipur

    • Delhi

    Health Screening:

    In view of the surge in number of COVID-19 cases, random sample collection will be done for passengers arriving from states where there has been a spurt in number for COVID-19 cases. Passengers will be allowed to exit after sample collection.

    Thermal screening will be done for all passengers upon arrival.

    Passengers who are found positive will be quarantined at home or CCC/CHC/Hospital for 10 days.

    • Goa

    Health Screening:

    Mandatory for all passengers arriving into Goa from other States/UT to be in possession of RT-PCR/TrueNAT/CBNAAT/Rapid Antigen Test negative report from ICMR accredited labs done within last 72hrs. RT-PCR/TrueNAT/CBNAAT/Rapid Antigen Test timeline starts from the swab collection time. Passengers not fulfilling the requirements shall be denied boarded at the origin station

    Following passengers are exempted from the above mentioned requirement

    1. Passengers entering Goa for a medical emergency on production of proof or coming in an ambulance
    2. All persons entering the state in goods vehicles making essential supplies however such vehicles shall not carry any passengers unconnected with the transportation of essential supplies

    Passengers in possession of final vaccination certificate, i.e., those who have taken both doses and have completed 15 days since the receipt of the 2nd dose shall be exempted from pre-departure RT-PCR/TrueNAT/CBNAAT/RAT requirement

    Passengers arriving from Kerala shall be allowed entry into Goa only on production RT-PCR negative report from ICMR accredited labs done within last 72hrs. RT-PCR timeline starts from the swab collection time. Additionally, the following shall also be applicable to passengers arriving from Kerala:

    Students and employees entering Goa shall be subject to mandatory 5 days institutional quarantine and arrangements for the same shall be done by the administrators/principal/offices of respective student and employees. On completion of quarantine they shall be required to undergo a RT-PCR test

    Customers other than students or employees shall be subject to 5 days home quarantine

    Following shall be exempted from any type of quarantine if coming from Kerala State

    1. Constitutional functionaries, healthcare professionals and their spouses
    2. Children below 2 years
    3. In dire emergency such as death in family, medical treatment etc.
    4. Passengers in transit from and to Kerala via any mode of transport

    Passenger Obligation:

    Carry a negative RT-PCR/TrueNAT/CBNAAT/Rapid Antigen Test report not earlier than 72 hours from an ICMR approved or final vaccination certificate showing 2 doses complete and 15days being elapsed from the receipt of the 2nd dose

    Airlines Obligation:

    Ensure passengers are not boarded from origin station unless in possession of RT-PCR/TrueNAT/CBNAAT/Rapid Antigen Test negative report or final vaccination certificate as mentioned in the health screening section.

    • Ahmedabad
    • Rajkot
    • Surat
    • Vadodara

    In Gujarat, IndiGo flies to Ahmedabad, Rajkot, Surat, Vadodara.

    Health Screening:

    Ahmedabad

    1. Thermal screening shall be conducted for all arriving passengers
    2. Symptomatic passengers upon arrival shall be required to undergo RT-PCR test at their own cost
    3. Passengers originating their journey from any city in Kerala or Maharashtra state to the city of Ahmedabad are required to be in possession of RT-PCR negative certificate of not older than 72Hours from an ICMR accredited lab or final vaccination certificate (i.e., both doses complete and should have surpassed 15 days from the receipt of the 2nd dose). RT-PCR timeline starts from the time of sample collection. Passengers not in possession of RTPCR negative/vaccination certificate shall be required to undergo RAT upon arrival free of cost

    Vadodara & Rajkot

    The above is not applicable for Defense Personnel arriving into the UT of Jammu & Kashmir

    Passengers originating their journey from any city in Maharashtra, Kerala and Goa State to any city in Karnataka state shall be mandatorily required to be in possession of RT-PCR negative certificate of not older than 72Hours from an ICMR accredited lab or Final Vaccination Certificate (two doses complete). RT-PCR timeline starts from the time of sample collection.

    Airlines Obligation:

    Ensure passengers travelling from Maharashtra, Kerala and Goa State to Karnataka state are in possession of RT-PCR negative certificate of not older than 72Hours from an ICMR accredited lab or Final Vaccination Certificate.

    Health Screening: 

    Thermal screening for all arriving passengers

    Passengers originating their journey from any city in Maharashtra, Kerala, or Goa State to any city in Karnataka state shall be mandatorily required to be in possession of RT-PCR negative certificate of not older than 72Hours from an ICMR accredited lab or Final Vaccination Certificate (two doses complete). RT-PCR timeline starts from the time of sample collection.

    Following passenger categories are exempted from above mentioned requirement

    1. Constitutional functionaries and healthcare professionals
    2. Children below the age of 2 years
    3. Passengers travelling under emergency situations such as death in family, medical treatment etc., In such situations passengers swab will be taken on arrival and further action shall be decided basis the test result

    Mandatory 7 day institutional quarantine for All students arriving from Kerala State in pursuance of their studies in any discipline but not restricted to nursing, medical, engineering, para medical, etc

    All passengers travelling to Kerala are required to be in possession of RT-PCR negative report not earlier than 72Hrs. RT-PCR timeline starts from the swab collection time.

    Passengers who are not in possession of the RT-PCR negative report shall be required to undergo RT PCR test upon arrival at their own cost at facility outside the airport if their port of arrival is Trivandrum. If the port of arrival is Kochi the RT-PCR testing facility is available at the airport

    Passengers who don’t want to undergo RT-PCR test upon arrival shall be required to undergo mandatory 14days home quarantine

    Passengers who visit the State for a short period for purposes like business, official, trade, medical, court cases, property management or any like purposes shall be mandatory required to carry RT-PCR negative report not earlier than 72Hrs. RT-PCR timeline starts from the swab collection time

    Kannur

    Thermal screening shall be done for all passengers.

    It is mandatory for passengers arriving into the city of Kannur from other states/UT to carry a negative RT-PCR report not earlier than 72 hours from an ICMR approved laboratory. RT-PCR timeline starts from the swab collection time. Passengers not in possession of RT-PCR negative report shall mandatorily required to undergo testing upon arrival at their own cost

    Calicut

    Thermal screening shall be done for all passengers.

RT-PCR timeline starts from the swab collection time. Passengers not in possession of RT-PCR negative report shall be mandatorily required to undergo testing upon arrival at their own cost

    In Ladakh, IndiGo flies to Leh.

    Health Screening:

    Thermal screening shall be done for all passengers.

    Negative RT-PCR report on arrival (not earlier than 96 hours prior to arrival) is required for all passengers arriving into Leh. RT-PCR timeline starts from the swab collection time.

    Passengers in possession of final vaccination certificate, i.e., those who have taken both doses and have completed 15 days since the receipt of the 2nd dose shall be exempted from pre-departure RT-PCR requirement

    All passengers arriving into the UT of Ladakh shall be required to undergo an RTPCR test free of cost irrespective of whether they are carrying a negative RT-PCR test or their vaccination status

    Quarantine:

    All passengers arriving into the UT of Ladakh shall be required to undergo an RTPCR test free of cost irrespective of whether they are carrying a negative RT-PCR test or their vaccination status

    For passenger arriving in CJB, following shall apply

    Following passenger categories from the above-mentioned states are exempted from pre-departure RT-PCR test

    1. Passengers those who fully vaccinated i.e.., those who have received both doses are exempted from pre-departure RT-PCR requirement on production of final vaccination certificate.
    2. Children below 2 years are exempted from RT-PCR test
