Best time to visit: The best time to visit Agatti is during the dry season, which spans from October to April. During these months, the weather is pleasant and the sea is calm. This makes it ideal for water activities like snorkelling and scuba diving. The clear skies and gentle breeze creates a perfect condition for beachcombing and relaxation on the pristine, white-sand beaches. 

How to reach?

Please note that travelling to Agatti requires obtaining a Restricted Area Permit (RAP), and foreign nationals may need additional permits. These permits can be arranged through authorised travel agents or the Lakshadweep Tourism website. 

By air: Agatti Airport (AGX) serves the union territory of Lakshadweep. It is the quickest way to reach this city. With affordable fares, you can easily book your flights to Agatti and plan your trip.

By sea: Lakshadweep Administration operates passenger ships from Kochi (Cochin) to various islands in the Lakshadweep archipelago, including Agatti. The journey by ship takes longer, around 14-20 hours, and schedules can be irregular, but it is worth an experience.

Getting around/Transport in Agatti: Small motorised scooters, bicycles, cars, and auto-rickshaws are available for hire to explore the island. Boats and ferries are essential for inter-island travel within the Lakshadweep archipelago.
