After taking their blessings, Lord Ram killed Ravan with the help of Brahmastra, which was a deadly weapon that Lord Bramha created. After demolishing Ravan in the battle, Lord Ram took out the Chariot procession of Goddess Shakti and Lord Shiva on Ashtami day. Since that day, Ashokaashtami festival has been celebrated as the victory of good over evil by the devotee of Lord Ram.
