  • Sai Baba Temple: Shirdi is known for the Sai Baba Temple, which is among the famous shrines in India. It has a tremendous spiritual significance, and millions of devotees from different faith and belief throng the temple throughout the year. There are many tales about Sai Baba in Shirdi since it is the place where he spent his entire life and attained '’Samadhi'’. The temple complex is spread across 200 sqm and comprises the Samadhi Mandir, Gurusthan, Chavadi, Lendi Baug, Dwarkamai. The complex also has 2500 rooms for accommodation. It is among the wealthiest temples in India.
  • Dwarkamai: It is said that Sai Baba spent a significant part of his life at Dwarkamai, which is considered to be the heart of Shirdi. An interesting fact about this place is that it happens to be a mosque with a temple inside it.
  • Hanuman Mandir: Popularly known as Maruti Mandir, it is among the oldest temples in Shirdi. Located between Dwarkamai and Chavadi, it is another famous spot to visit. Interestingly, the palanquin of Sai Baba stops at Hanuman Mandir, when taken out on special occasions.
  • Khandoba Mandir: Kandoba Mandir is a small, calm place located 600 m away from Shirdi Sai Baba Temple. The temple is dedicated to God Khandoba, who is considered to be another form of Lord Shiva. As per legends, Sai Baba first decided to make this temple his residence. However, he was not allowed since he was believed to be a Muslim.

Abdul Baba Cottage

As the name suggests, Shani Shingnapur is famous for the temple dedicated to Shani Mahadev. The temple features a 5.5 ft high idol built in black stone. One surprising element is that the entire village around the temple has no doors.
